Chyrel Love Miller is a Professor Emeritus from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. Her teaching career spanned thirty years in the Theatre and Dance department and included directing and choreographing over 50 musicals and numerous dance concerts at SMSU Theatre and Springfield Landers Theatre.

She holds degrees of Bachelors of Science in Education and Master of Arts in Dance. Chyrel has studied dance in Chicago, New York and L.A. In the early nineties Chyrel started as a private client in the American Pilates method with Romana Kryanowska and was granted a university sabbatical in 1997 to return to New York and become a certified Pilates instructor.

During the summer of 1997, Chyrel found STOTT PILATES which was then referred to as STOTT Conditioning. This method was directed toward anatomical and biomechanical aspects of Joseph Pilates' work which was closely related to Chyrel's university teaching of Dance Kinesiology and Anatomy for Dancers.

In 1997 Chyrel became a certified STOTT PILATES instructor and in 2000 became an Instructor Trainer. Studio One Pilates L.L.C. began in 1998 in a loft studio in downtown Springfield emphasizing "one-on-one training for private clients."

In the fall of 2000, Studio One Pilates became the Midwest licensed training facility for students who wanted to become certified instructors in STOTT PILATES.

Chyrel's continued education with Joanna Speller and Ann Dawson, both physiotherapists in Canada specializing in STOTT PILATES rehabilitation work, has resulted in her certification to become an Instructor Trainer for the Injuries and Special Population course within the STOTT PILATES method. She has continued work with Orthopedic doctors, Spine Specialists and Physical Therapists in the states of Missouri and Arkansas who have chosen to use pilates for core strength and rehabilitation in conjunction with traditional Physical Therapy. Chyrel has always been proud to have the opportunity to work with students that have been successful within their chosen field, whether it is in the performing arts or the pilates arena. Her instructors are now teaching from Florida to California
